Fundraising

The Vancouver Emergency Community Telecommunications Organization (VECTOR) is a non-profit society registered as a charitable organization with the Canada Revenue Agency. Our business number is: BN861965416RR0001.

VECTOR sincerely appreciates the financial support it receives from its donors. Our non-profit all-volunteer society’s sole mission is to plan and prepare for providing service to the public. 100% of all donated funds are put towards projects in support of emergency communications.

Tax deductible monetary donations may be made to VECTOR on-line or by cheque. Tax receipts for donations by cheque (for amounts of $30 or greater) are sent out by the end of each calender year. Tax receipts for on-line donations are provided instantly.

CanadaHelps.org - Online Giving Made Simple

VECTOR has partnered with CanadaHelps.org to provide our membership and the public at large a secure and convenient on-line mechanism to make one-time or regular monthly donations. Click on “Donate Now” to visit our CanadaHelps.org page.

When making a donation via CanadaHelps.org use the “Message/Instructions to VECTOR” feature on the donation form to communicate to VECTOR any special requests such as for recognition or anonymity. You’ll receive a tax receipt for your contribution, instantly.

Benevity - Employer Matching

Similarly to CanadaHelps.org, VECTOR has partnered with Benevity to provide our membership and the public a way to take advantage of employer matching when donating to VECTOR or volunteering their time.

Contributing Through Benevity

Each employer has their own Benevity portal. To donate or to log your volunteer hours through Benevity, please log in using your employer’s portal and search for VECTOR or VANCOUVER EMERGENCY COMMUNITY TELECOMMUNICATIONS ORGANIZATION (our Benevity Cause unique identifier is 861965416RR0001).
