Container Work Party

Posted

On Sunday morning a small but mighty group of determined VECTOR members ventured into the depths of our communications container at E-Comm.

Numerous loads were dispatched by your industrious team to electronics and metal recycling depots, leaving our storage container substantially cleared of stuff that had accumulated well beyond their collective best-used-by dates.

Your VECTOR work-party victors included (L-R) Dave Koyanagi VE7CNV, Bryan Ferrar VE7BFY, Andrew Martens VA7VCO, Gary Webb VA7GMW, and Lili Bouchard VA7LAB. Also working away out of camera range were Mike Montour VE7ABP and Mike Watkins VE7WV.

Recent work on the container, radio room, and server room contribute to improving our state of readiness and ability to scale our response quickly in time of need.

Another of our objectives for the day was to identify and collect items for our table at the Burnaby Amateur Radio Club’s annual Swap Meet. Doors open to buyers at 1000H on Sunday February 22 at the Queensborough Community Centre, 920 Ewan Avenue, New Westminster (map). We’ll have some interesting items up for sale ranging from HF transceivers to antennas to test equipment and other goodies.
