May 3 - 9: Emergency Preparedness Week

May 3 to May 9 has been declared as Emergency Preparedness Week by the City of Vancouver. During this seven day period a number of events, displays, and other functions will be available to the media and public to promote emergency preparedness in our city.

An earthquake simulator, dubbed the Quake Cottage, will be presented on Tuesday May 5.

Emergency Social Services will setup a Group Lodging demonstration and will staff information tables on ESS / NEPP / NEAT and VVC programs at City Hall from 10am through 3pm on Tuesday May 5. VECTOR will present the CERV and emergency radio communications capabilities on that day.
