Swap Meet Meets With Success
Posted
Early Sunday morning Andrew Martens VA7VCO, Mike Watkins VE7WV, and Gary Webb VA7GMW met up at VECTOR HQ to load up their vehicles with a wide variety of surplus equipment and headed out to Queensborough Community Centre to participate in the annual Burnaby Amateur Radio Club Swap Meet. There we met up with Mike Montour VE7ABP who helped staff our table.
While packing we also learned the answer to an important question: “How many VECTOR board members does it take to remove an antenna element?” The answer: two.
Thanks go out to members including Bryan Ferrar VE7BFY, Deven Prasad VE7DDP, and Mike Watkins VE7WV who donated items for the benefit of VECTOR and the ham radio community.
The swap meet was an unqualified success.
It was great to see so many VECTOR members in attendance. Just as rewarding as the swap meet itself was the opportunity to catch up with Radio Amateurs from all over the region.
Congratulations to the Burnaby Amateur Radio Club for hosting another fine event.
