VECTOR Receives Civic Award of Excellence

On July 5 The Vancouver Emergency Community Telecommunications Organization (VECTOR) was recognized by Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson as a 2016 recipient of the Vancouver Awards of Excellence.
Accepting the award on behalf of VECTOR president Gary Webb VA7GMW remarked “it is quite an honour for our society and validation of the creative energy and hard work our members have devoted in the service of our city”.
The Civic Volunteer Award recognizes outstanding volunteer contributions to a City of Vancouver Board or Committee, or to an organization that receives City funding. VECTOR was nominated by Daniel Stevens, Director, Office of Emergency Management and by Sergeant Kevin Bernardin of Vancouver Police Department.
