What Is VECTOR?

VECTOR is the Amateur Radio (popularly known as “ham radio”) program for the City of Vancouver.

Our vision involves bringing together the power of ordinary citizens and amateur radio to enhance community resiliency for times of emergency and disaster. You can learn more about VECTOR here and if you’d like to join our growing all-volunteer team please contact us at [email protected].

VECTOR is at it’s core an emergency preparedness organization that works closely with the City of Vancouver Office of Emergency Management. Find out how ordinary citizens play a role in Vancouver’s emergency preparedness and response plans by stopping by VECTOR Field Day on Saturday June 24.
