On 6 December members of the Vancouver Emergency Community Telecommunications Organization met to hold the Annual General Meeting of the society.

The following slides touch on the year’s accomplishments.

In 2018 we look to carry on our training tempo, bringing even more people into the amateur radio and VECTOR families. We’ll continue to ramp up both capacity and improve operational readiness. In partnership with City of Vancouver Office of Emergency Management we’ll participate in Exercise SWEEPER on 3 May 2018 and sit on the exercise design committee.

There are many opportunities to get involved with VECTOR - planning, preparation both technical and organizational, training giving and taking, writing, designing exercises, civic event duty, maintaining our radio equipment, giving some love to our 38 foot communications vehicle, providing our new members with advise and a helping hand (be an Elmer!) and so much more.

We are a welcoming group - if you’d like to find out how to join us please do not hesitate to write [email protected].

VECTOR acknowledges the financial support of the Government of British Columbia.
