Net Control Apprenticeship
Ask for Date

Learn how to, serve as one, and coach another net control operator for VECTOR’s weekly nets. One Wednesday each month over 9 month period. Have your chance to help keep the nets going.

Teach Basic Amateur Radio Proficiency

Help others become amateur radio operators when you present one of the modules for VECTOR’s Basic Amateur Radio Proficiency Course. Help students feel more comfortable using Zoom.

P221: Grab and Go Kit Hands On Session
Ask for Date

Practise how to retrieve,set up and operate luggable VECTOR multi-band voice and data radio stations. Sign up for a time block and play with the kit under a coach’s supervision.

P222: Voice Operator Practice Workshop

Build your “muscle memory” for core radio and control operator skills. Runs 75 minute tabletop exercise for groups of 5 people to keep from getting rusty.

P223.0: Data Get Started Hands On Workshop

To set up and learn packet radio clients. Every attendee installs and configures the packet radio clients VECTOR uses, then practises sending and receiving messages.

P223.1: Data and Packet Setup Night

To learn about using packet radio and/or share your experiences with others. Good for just starting out with data or helping others get going. This is a hands-on exercise.

Beyond setting up a Winlink system, we get “muscle memory.” Drill on sending, receiving, looking up, and checking on several Winlink email messages. Understand the full lifecycle of messages we deliver.
