Quick Steps
Get Started
- Open meet.jit.si
- Click “Start Meeting” (uses the currently visible string of words as your link)
- Type your name in the box to give yourself an identity on screen
- Click “Invite More People” and follow the prompts to send the link to others
Hold your session
- Welcome your teammates – hover at the bottom to show the Jitsi toolbar
- Lock the room behind you – click the orange shield icon
Wrap it up
- Close your session

- Add your words to the end of “https://meet.jit.si/" (like “https://meet.jit.si/KitsMarpoleHastingsGordon")
- Send the link to your team

- Click your link or use your browser to go to it
- Welcome your teammates – hover at the bottom to show the Jitsi toolbar
- Lock the room behind you – click the orange shield icon

Procedure
Steps to use Jitsi for a pop-up meeting

Choose the meeting link name (four words)
- Example: KitsMarpoleHastingsGordon
- If you want to choose your own four easy-to-recall words
- If you prefer to reject the random-generated ones

Share the link with your team

Start Jitsi’s website with your link name

Lock the session once everyone signs in

Close the session when you’re done
