To step beyond just setting up a Winlink system. Send, receive, look up, and check on several Winlink email messages. Understand the full lifecycle of messages we deliver.

Format: 45 minute hands-on exercise

A tabletop exercise, 45 minutes at E-COMM Media Room or location suitable to reach Winlink gateway.

Bring your own computer and radio if you can.

  1. Starting up primary software
  2. Checking logs
  3. Entering and sending messages
  4. Hopping channels
  5. Connecting P2P
  6. Standing-down protocol

Prepare at home

  1. Check your Winlink account works
  2. Check your Winlink software is current (Winlink updates can trip you up)
